Die Sonne ist die Mitte unseres Sonnensystems und wird dadurch auch der körperlichen Mitte zugeordnet. Der Sonnenton wärmt, beruhigt, gibt innere Stärke und emotionale Ausgeglichenheit und wird dem Solarplexus zugeordnet. Er entspringt einer höheren Dimension und steht drum auch für das Magische und das Transzendentale.
Die Umlauf- bzw. Rotationszyklen von Planeten, Sonne und Mond können durch eine mathematische Formel in hörbare Töne umgerechnet werden. Diese Technik, die von den Gesetzmäßigkeiten des Oktavierens abgeleitet ist, haben wir dem Physiker und Mathematiker Hans Cousto zu verdanken, der 1978 diese Methode entdeckt und sie "Kosmische Oktave" nannte. Cousto schuf damit die Grundlage für die individuelle Arbeit mit Planetentönen, die sich heute in zahlreichen therapeutischen Ansätzen und in der Selbstheilungs- und Selbsterfahrungsarbeit zahlreicher Gruppen und Menschen wieder findet.
